Dog VS Houseplants
We’ve recently started planning to bring a dog into our lives again and that means the Tyler household has been in full puppy prep mode! While I’m super excited to have a new furry friend, this family update also means I need to get rid of some plants that aren’t good to have around dogs.
We’ve always had big dogs (a Newfoundland and a Rottweiler) and never had as many houseplants before. Now, we’re looking at getting a smaller dog that is easier for my parents to manage as they get older. Many of my current plants are going to be at eye level with our new pup! With any pet, there is a chance they may want to chew on what is around them. After going through my plants, I have twenty in my collection that can pose risks to dogs if they go for a nibble.
I still have quite a few houseplants that will be safe around a dog (even if it decides it needs to taste them!) so I am happy our house won’t be totally empty but some of my favourites will have to go to lower risks.
The Plant Low Down
All of these plants must go, so I am hoping they can go to a good home! I love them and it is bittersweet to need to part with them. I’ve given them all the love I could.
If you have a furry friend who doesn’t like to chew then go ahead and take these home! This is my warning that you purchase these plants at your own risk and I cannot be responsible for the plants you decide to cohabit with your animals or children.
If you are interested in trading, purchasing or otherwise, please let me know!
